When you need an auditor

  • Your head office or overseas shareholder needs audited figures for group reporting.
  • A bank or another lender asks for financial statements with an auditor’s report.
  • The law requires an audit. Article 8 of the Law on Auditing requires annual audit for public-interest entities and other entities specified by legislation. The statutory deadline is 30 June of the following year. Law on Auditing, Article 8
  • You are preparing a transaction or raising investment and want to show audited figures.
  • A donor or an international project requires an independent audit.

Audits we carry out

  • Statutory or voluntary financial statement audit under International Standards on Auditing. The result is an auditor’s report, and its content depends on the audit findings.
  • Audit of financial statements prepared under IFRS for a shareholder, lender or head office.
  • Local component of a group audit. Share the group auditor’s instructions at the outset. We use them to agree the local scope, communication route and delivery dates.
  • Assignments for banks, investors and international donors. We agree the period and report format with the recipient.

IFRS conversion, financial due diligence and forensic reviews are covered on Audit and IFRS reporting in Tajikistan.

Auditor independence

We do not combine audit and bookkeeping for the same company. Article 27 of the Law on Auditing restricts the right to audit where the auditor has kept the company’s accounts or prepared its financial statements. Before signing, we check whether we have provided such services to you.

If you need bookkeeping rather than an audit, see accounting in Tajikistan. Your audit will then be carried out by another firm.
